Making him my, “Thinking Hero,” Aristotle was not only a preeminent model of ancient Greek philosophy but also had a way of thinking that I can relate and agree with. When it comes to Aristotle, “an intelligent mind doesn’t have to have a goal when thinking but being able to just entertain a thought,” disagreeing with our classes definition of critical thinking, as we explained that there is always a goal oriented mindset with this action. One doesn’t necessarily have to come up with a conclusion or have a goal to be critically thinking, as long as they are already thinking in depth of a particular subject. Although, Aristotle did believe that in order for one to be able to think critically, they have to not only look at something’s surface or what they appear to be but to, "look deeper into the realities by breaking down thoughts and analyzing them,” which has to do with the definition that our class came up with.
